Mirabel
Why did you have to call me
Mirabel
I saw your name and number
Flashing on the phone
"Please leave a message at the tone"
I should be careful what I ask for
Mirabel
You knew you'd still enthrall me
Mirabel
Even six years later
How my stomach churned
Hearing you'd returned
It's like a ghost is at the door
Sharing books and longing looks
In mittens scarves and hoods
But like a deer you disappeared
Deep into the woods
Mirabel
I don't know why I'd call you
Mirabel
I'm sure you know I will though
I'm easily retrained
To paw and roar again on queue
